Guide

How the loyalty programme value calculator works

Points-based loyalty and VIP clubs are easiest to compare when you convert them into an effective return — the share of your total turnover that comes back as prize value.

The calculator divides turnover by the bet needed to earn a point, multiplies by the point value and expresses the result as a percentage of turnover.

Formula

Effective return = (point value ÷ bet per point) × 100

Example: a typical 0.1% club

€10 wagered per point, each point worth €0.01, total turnover €1,000.

  • Points earned€1,000 ÷ €10 = 100 points
  • Prize value100 × €0.01 = €1
  • Effective return€1 ÷ €1,000 = 0.1%

The effective return depends only on the earning rate and point value, not the turnover size — so two clubs can be compared on equal terms.

Why the effective return matters

Two clubs can seem similar but differ by multiples if one gives a point per €10 and the other per €5. A higher tier or faster earning raises the return.

Tips

  • Compare clubs by effective return, not the number of points.
  • Account for VIP-tier multipliers, point expiry and game weighting.
  • Also see the cashback calculator and the bankroll plan calculator.
  • All results are theoretical decision aids, not guaranteed returns.

Frequently asked questions

What is the effective return?
The effective return is the share of your total turnover a loyalty scheme returns as prize value. It lets you compare point clubs by the same yardstick, regardless of bet size.
Do VIP-tier multipliers change the result?
Yes. If your VIP tier earns points faster, lower the 'bet per point' field (or raise the point value). The calculator assumes a single earning rate.
